Wiese: Make Loftus intimidating again

Cobus Wiese says the Vodacom Bulls owe their supporters a big performance against the Stormers at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
Under coach Jake White, the Bulls have tried to make Loftus a fortress, but it was famously breached by the Glasgow Warriors in last season’s Vodacom URC final, and again twice this season, by the Northampton Saints in the Investec Champions Cup and by the Sharks in the URC two weeks ago.
The Bulls have won their other four home matches this season, including last week’s Jukskei derby, but Wiese believes Loftus has lost its fear factor.
"For us as a team, it's important to rebuild Loftus' reputation. I think we may have let Loftus down a bit in the last few weeks," he told the media on Tuesday.
"It was a good win last weekend, but I feel that teams must feel intimidated when they come to Loftus.
"It's our duty not only to play well but to bring that extra little bit at home. It's not that we're not giving our best, but for home games, teams must really know that we are up for it.”

Wiese said the Bulls needed to be more clinical in the opposition 22 if they hoped to do the double over their arch-rivals this season.
"In previous games, we gave ourselves enough opportunities, but I don't think we used them adequately. The Sharks, home and away, used every chance they got when they entered our 22.
"So I think it is about accuracy and patience when we get to teams' 22, especially when playing local teams.”
